Toy Story in Numbers

By The Crest Magazine17/12/20132 Mins Read

East Coast Radio’s Toy Story with Game wraps up on 18 December. Here’s a quick look at what has been achieved so far:

  • R1.2 million in cash donations received since Toy Story launch on 30 September 2013
  • 15 000 toys distributed to underprivileged children in hospitals so far
  • 10 hours we have spent in total thus far, packing toys in big blue packets ahead of hospital visits
  • 30 hours spent on hospital road trips around the province
  • 20 hours of flying time clocked by the Red Cross Air Mercy Service, delivering toys to outer-lying areas of KZN
  • Lots of tears shed by the team witnessing children’s faces light up as they are given their own special present.
