“My makeover was a wonderful experience, from beginning to end,” said June Lark of Westville. The exciting day began with a trip to Fay and Megan Coleman of Image Insured at their glamorous new studio in Kloof.
The dynamic mother and daughter duo showed June the correct colours to wear to complement her skin tone, as well as a full makeup lesson. She was also taught how to balance her body by wearing the right styles for her figure type, to create the illusion of the perfect figure.
Next up was some pampering at Perfect 10, where June had a facial, eyebrow tint and wax. Her hands and feet were given some TLC and she left feeling revitalised.
Fay, Megan and Grant Harper from Terry Scott Hairdressing agree that hair is a crucial part of any makeover. During June’s session at Image Insured, she was advised exactly what colour her hair should be for her skin tone, and Grant was able to transform her look completely.
“June’s hair was the wrong colour, which caused her skin to look very sallow,” said Fay and Megan. So Grant applied Wella Colour Touch 5/71 (light brunette ash brown) and then foiled with Wella Koleston Perfect 6/75 (dark brunette mahogany blonde). These are both cool tones to counteract the warmth in June’s hair, which caused her skin to look yellow.
Grant then cut June’s hair in graduated layers with a three-dimensional fringe … and she was ready for her photo shoot!
“From feeling washed out to looking like a super-model, this makeover has totally changed my life,” said June. “Thank you to an amazing team!”
