The seizure of two consignments of Viagra in Johannesburg in the past week will be unhappy news for users of the wonder drug.
The bust could come as “stiff” news for fans of the “blue pill”, which is commonly used to counter erectile dysfunction, but has also in recent years become popular among some recreational drug users.
National police spokesperson Dennis Adriao said, “Police confiscated the first consignment on January 20, worth R6 million, and the second (on Sunday), worth R11 million.”
He said both consignments were from Hong Kong and destined for Johannesburg.
