Vernon White was on hand to present our competition winner Vivienne Brown with a beautiful F58 series men’s ring to the value of R9 000.
Vivienne, who lives in Morningside but works in Umhlanga – and is an avid Ridge reader – said she was delighted to win the prize and was “going to hold on to it for a while”. “There’s no special man in my life,” said Vivienne, “but Valentine’s Day is just around the corner,” she joked.

Vivienne said she was immediately drawn to the picture of the ring on The Ridge Online website: “The design of the ring is stunning.”
Vernon said that the F58 series of rings was based on the design of Formula 1 motor racing tyres and that the brand had already been registered in 41 countries. Each ring is custom designed and the rings work well with diamonds, in gold or titanium. Rubber inlay is sometimes used to continue the motoring theme.
Vernon said he had been advertising with The Ridge magazine for a few years now and that the association worked very well for his business. Vernon White Designer Jewellery has been open at Gateway Theatre of Shopping since the centre opened in 2001 and also has stores at the Pavilion in Westville and in Florida Road, Durban.
