Come and enjoy a Walk in the Forest Garden with Geoff Nichols on Saturday 12 October, at the Durban Botanic Gardens.
Geoff Nichols will be giving a guided tour of the indigenous forest node in the Durban Botanic Gardens.
Nichols worked the Durban Parks Department for 21 years and has diplomas in agriculture, horticulture and parks and recreation administration. He also pioneered the growing of indigenous medicinal plants at the Silverglen Medicinal Plant Nursery.
His interest in indigenous gardening and reintroducing native plants to the urban environment resulted in the birth of his own horticultural consultancy in 1996 and the development of the habitat gardening concept.
Registration will be at 9:45am, with the programme getting underway at 10am and ending at 12pm.
The guided walk with Geoff Nichols will be followed by tea, coffee and muffins.
Cost is R45 per adult (over 12 years of age). Pensioners, Youth and members of Friends pay R35 per person.
