Westville’s Got Talent, the local talent contest, has come round again. The event is one night only on 2 December 2011 at Westville Baptist Church. Entry is R30.
After the success of the 2010 event, the youth fraternal, comprising of the youth leaders and pastors of the youth groups within the Westville area have held auditions and narrowed down their talent to 16 performances for the night.
Many young hopefuls auditioned, bringing their A-game to the table. The judging was done by the leaders from the youth groups who picked only the best for the night’s extravaganza. The auditions were two-fold – the students choose to either come and do a group act or do an individual act.
The judges this year are Makhosi Khoza of East Coast Radio, who is on air 9am to 12pm weekdays, and Pam and Christie from the musical duo The Arrows.
On the night, the judges will pick their talented group and individual acts. There are prizes to be won in both categories. The event begins at 7:30 pm.
