This year’s White Mountain Festival is coming up from 29 September to 2 October and once again promises a line-up of some of the best acoustic acts in the country.
Included on the bill – which features everything from bluegrass to folk, rock, blues and traditional Celtic and African rhythms – are the likes of Bad Peter, Jack Mantis Band, Georgetown, Lunatic Wolf, Simpl3 Stori3s, Chico Muya, Jenny & The Jameses, Heather Waters, Hoot ‘n Anny, plus a stripped-down acoustic set from The Black Cat Bones.
And definitely not to be missed is Cape Town’s Richard Stirton, winner of The Voice SA 2016, as well as his fellow contestants, singer-songwriters Mbijana Sibisi and Jeremy Olivier.
Known for its intimate, relaxed atmosphere and idyllic setting, the festival is held at White Mountain Lodge near Giant’s Castle, only 185km from Durban and just 25km off the N3 on tarred roads.
Aside from the music, festival-goers can look forward to a wide variety of food and drink outlets, great local craft beer, vibrant arts and crafts, plus loads of fun outdoor activities for the whole family, including a trail run presented by TRAIL Magazine.
This year also sees the introduction of a new on-site ‘tent hotel’, offering a stylish, hassle-free camping experience with all the comforts of home!
