Saturday, 8 September sees a fabulous event as part of the St Mary’s Spring Fling – the Glam Makeover and Fashion Show aims to raise money for the school and their chosen charity SMILE.
This part of the fundraising event takes place in the school hall from 9.30am to 2pm and only 400 tickets are available. The ticket price of R100 per person includes a fashion and beauty exhibition, live makeover of Grade 11 girls, a presentation by dermatologist Dr Len Nel and a fashion show by nationally acclaimed fashion designers Karen Monk Klijnstra, Gideon and Kathrin Kidger.
Two amazing prizes will be given away on the day and you need to be present to win. One prize will go to a Grade 10 girl for their 2013 Grade 11 Dance and one to a Grade 11 girl for their 2013 Matric Dance. The prizes are worth R5 000 and R10 000 respectively, and include make-up, hair, nails, a Get Fit Challenge, an IQ skin care pack, transport to the dance and a professional photoshoot.
The winner of the Matric Dance prize will also receive a dance dress designed by Karen Monk Klijnstra.
The event is open to everyone, but only a Grade 10 and 11 girl from a local school can win the Glam Makeover prize. Their ticket to the event will also be their entry into the Glam Makeover lucky draw. Additional tickets for the draw can be bought on the day for R30 each.
