One of KZN’s most respected arts festivals, the annual Witness Hilton Arts Festival, turns 21 this year, so make your way down to the beautiful grounds of Hilton College from 12 to 15 September to experience the best in drama, comedy, and music.
The Witness Hilton Arts Festival is widely considered to be KZN’s premier arts and culture festival and one of the top festivals in the country, attracting phenomenal South African performers and artists gleaned from the most prestigious stages around the country.
The festival will start with two full days of age-specific arts events aimed at schools; 12 September for primary schools and 13 September for high schools.
Now in its third year, ‘Jongosi’ is designed to educate, entertain and allow learners to expand their world view. Schools who would like to participate are encouraged to sign up as quickly as possible on theatre@hiltoncollege.com or sh@hiltoncollege.com.
There will also be a full programme of theatre and events for young people during the main festival weekend.
Along with the particularly notable drama programme this year is some astonishing, diverse music including Christopher Duigan’s Music Revival Concert Series, featuring ten carefully-chosen concerts sponsored by Park Lane SuperSPAR, and Christopher Duigan in Concert, a free show sponsored by Marriott.
