The Durban Harbour has recently been widened to accommodate more ships, which will in turn benefit the economy of Durban, KwaZulu Natal and South Africa as a whole. This means that it is vital for the ships coming to our harbours with goods destined for our shops to know that they can safely sail their ships without any danger of running aground.
The SA Navy exercised the Right of Entry Parade this Saturday 18 June 2016 at the Durban City Hall to commemorate the World Hydrography Day . “Liam Christian and Taitum Summer Singh” of Atholten Primary in Umhlanga Rocks also attended this event amongst other schools, to learn and understand about the art and science of hydrography and its importance.
Both of the Singh children enthusiastically attended the parade, as their Dad Shalendra Singh previously served the Defence Force who later joined the ranks of the Police and is currently in service as a policemen.
