Back in 1990, two local Underberg farmers decided to host an intimate weekend of music with a couple of friends from the area. Seven short months later, over 1 200 enthusiasts from across South Africa arrived to enjoy a selection of live music set in the natural amphitheatre of the Splashy Fen Trout Farm in Underberg. That was the magical moment that Splashy Fen Music Festival was born!
Who would have ever imagined that 30 years on, Splashy Fen Music Festival would still be going strong; forging a name for itself across the globe as South Africa’s friendliest festival!
2019 sees the festival celebrate its 30th edition, and preparations are well underway for another magical musical experience for the whole family.
Music enthusiasts will be excited to note that the international acts for 2019 are Kim Churchill, Juzzie Smith, Wheatus
