If you haven’t made a note of the final Spring Flower Walk through Springside Nature Reserve on Sunday, 28 October, I highly recommend you do it now! This beautiful pocket of natural history is overseen by a passionate group of people who have a wealth of knowledge to share.

Following a routine burn by eThekwini municipality – a vital part of the environment’s life cycle – and heavy spring rains, the reserve has burst into a profusion of colour. The range of flowers and grasses is incredible. A real treat for the senses.
Plus, it’s a great excuse for a leisurely walk through the various ecosystems within this KZN sandstone sourveld.
Keep you eyes peeled because some of the most rewarding finds are just the size of your thumbnail!
The final walk takes place on Sunday, 28 October at 2.30pm.

Tea, coffee and pancakes will also be on sale during and after the walk at the Resource Centre.
Non-walkers are welcome to come and enjoy the facilities as well.
