As one of South Africa’s most highly anticipated exhibitions, Decorex Durban showcases the latest in international and local trends in décor, lifestyle and home living as it celebrates its 10th birthday in 2012.
In the photo: Anne Colle decorated a contemporary and inspirational Wallpaper Trends installation. She says: “Clever use of wallpaper is a wonderful way to bring colour to a room.”

Along with the Trend House and the other inspirational and unique feature installations, the event also offers an eclectic combination of high-end exhibitors, workshops and demonstrations.
The Trend House sees seven local design companies each compose a room setting inspired by contemporary trend-forward ideas, as well as their own unique decor accents. This includes a fresh, strongly KZN dining room designed by Margie Walker of Co-ordinated Interiors in Kloof.
The ‘Real’ theme of Decorex Durban 2012 and the Trend House expresses the aspirations of modern design to be characterised by that which is natural and spirited, connecting to emotions rather than things. Here, what is ‘Real’ embodies our honest commitment to living a purer, greener life, surrounded with things that matter – from home spaces to work spaces to public, shared spaces.
