Saturday, November 5: It wasn’t just the Northwood and Hilton Boys who were able to enjoy the cool water during a game of waterpolo as Durban’s temperature soared at Northwood school on Saturday.
Waiting patiently on the side so they could have a quick dip between each chukka was a family of Egyptian geese – mom, dad and 11 goslings. Northwood boys, teachers and parents alike are familiar with the resident family, but visitors to the school are always fascinated at how they wait their turn – and know the rules of the pool. – Pictures by Alison Kearns
