Farewell to an original Street Scene-ster.

Talk on Fracking

It is with a heavy heart but warm smiles that Street Scene bid farewell to one of the original Street Scene founders, Jonas Barausse. Jonas joined Street Scene 6 months into it’s formation back in 2010 and instantly became an integral part of the family. His infectious love for beautiful Durban, passionate belief in it’s people and never say die attitude helped build the company into what it is today. In the 7 years since he came aboard Street Scene have grown together by leaps and bounds and look forward to continue this growth in the years to come.

Sthembiso Mbonambi (the remaining founder) and King of Durban tours will be taking on the reigns of Street Scene going forward and we cant wait to see what our captain has in store.

Jonas will still be carrying out his work with initiatives like Interpret Durban and the Box Project and is by no means done with this city he calls home. Thinking of him as a free agent is actually a little intimidating. Haha. So keep an eye out cause he isn’t done yet.

From the Street Scene Family we wish you all the best Jo. We are sure that whatever you do next will be nothing short of awesome. It’s what you do best. We’ll keep flying the flag here and look forward to hearing tales of your adventures when next we meet for a cup of coffee and catch-ups.

Thanks for helping shape us into the team we are today. You’ll be missed.
