The 2015 Great Annual Bicycle Ride Across Natal (GABRAN) saw over 150 entrants this year.
This 300km, three day cycle tour from Drakensville to Hillcrest was in aid of raising funds for the COWS – a fundraising arm of CHOC (Childhood Heamotology Oncology Clinics).
All the GABRAN participants from cyclists to back-up drivers and support crews truly embraced the COWS “Love Living Life” slogan and mixed it with an overdose of enthusiasm in order to raise much needed funds for all the little superheroes fighting various forms of Cancer.
“We were blown away when we counted the moo-lah and came to a grand figure of R70 000 and could not believe our ‘hooves’ when one of our corporate participants, Liviero, who had sent some riders on the event, confirmed a further donation of R80 000 to the cause. Thank you from the bottom of our hooves for helping us make GABRAN 2015 ‘udderly’ amazing!” saysLynne Macrae – Media Moo from the Durban COW herd.
Planning for GABRAN 2016 is well underway and dates have been confirmed as the 19th, 20th and 21st of August 2016. Should you, or your company wish to partake in the event, or make donations of any kind, please contact the Westville Cycle Club on 031 767-4448.

I live in Cape Town. My last Gabran was 27 years ago in 1988. Would love to do it again. Could I get on a mailing list?
