Get the Shivers at uShaka this Halloween!

By The Ridge Magazine23/10/20132 Mins Read

Witches and werewolves will be prowling the Village Walk at uShaka Marine World this Halloween as part of the spine chilling Halloween parades that take place every weekend until 2 and 3 November.

That’s why getting the shivers will have nothing to do with a dunking at Wet ‘n Wild and everything to do with visits to uShaka’s House of Fear and eerie Phantom Ship, created by renowned set designer Greg King.

With surprises around every corner, you can get into the Halloween spirit for just R40 (please note: no for children under the age of 13).

There will also be a splash of magic added to the terror-ific Halloween experience, with a jaw dropping dolphin experience on October 26 and 27 at 4pm.

Colourful Halloween characters will lead the kids as they fill their goody-bags from all the retail stores in Village Walk as they Trick or Treat to their hearts content. The trick or treat tour led by Durban designer and stylist Kevin Ellis, and featuring his costumes, will take the kids to the Wreck Aquarium in the Phantom Ship where, at 5:30pm, the uShaka Sea World dolphins will entertain young and old.

The show is written and directed by Charon Williams Ros and features Flotsam & Jetsam played by Rory Booth and Brendan Mendes.

The show features song and dance and is aimed at children young and those young–at–heart; featuring well-known songs such as ‘Somebody’s Watching Me’, ‘These Boots are made for Walking’ and the traditional showstopper ‘Thriller’.

Dress to impress according to this year’s witches and werewolves theme. A freaky fancy dress competition will mean prizes for the best dressed and scariest outfits.

Tickets for the Halloween Dolphin Show cost R110, children under 3 years old enter for free. Tickets are limited, so book well in advance at Computicket outlets or at the uShaka Marine World ticketing office.
