Set in the picturesque Giba valley, the restaurant lends itself to fresh, seasonal meals and that’s what owners Nathan and Bonnie McMiles have on offer.
From succulent slow-braised lamb shanks to delicious fish cakes with home-made tartare sauce and chilli chutney, there’s something for everyone. And, if you like thin-based pizza, you’re in for a treat. Their cajun chicken pizza is among the best I have ever tasted!
Where possible, the ingredients are taken from Giba Organics, just a short walk down the path, and you’ll also find plenty of “free-range” and “organic” on the menu. The kids won’t feel left out either.

Giba Gorge is a place for the active, from the popular mountain bike trails to the BMX track and climbing wall, and there’s plenty of space for children to roam safely.
That said, the cafe is a tranquil haven. Pick up a newspaper, order a cappuccino and soak up the blissful surroundings from the comfort of an armchair.
What is obvious about The Giba Cafe is just how passionate the team is about its success. It might be a bit off the beaten track, but it’s absolutely worth the effort.
The Giba Cafe is open 8am-5pm Monday, Tuesday and Thursday; 8am-8pm Wednesday and Friday; 7am-6pm weekends and public holidays.
