Hair on Edge on Flanders Mall is a fabulous place to get your hair cut, and your shoulders massaged. Nothing new there, but they have taken on a young group of colourists and cutters who complement the wonderful Ty, the co-owner who has won numerous prizes for his hairdressing over the years both here in South Africa and in London.
Sonet, a beautiful Afrikaans stylist wraps up all the aspects of two hours in the hairdressers and makes them pleasurable. I am not good at sitting still looking at magazines, but her chat, a coffee from Remos and the time flies by. She won the Wella Trend Vision competition and if you want to break away from the block colour and have some highlights or lowlights I can’t recommend her highly enough.
Sean, who won the Natal Champs for cut and colour gives a mean blow dry, as well as his other skills and is another welcome addition to the salon. If you love going to get your hair done, or if you dread it, pay them a visit, you will have shiny, beautifully cut locks and a big smile on your face.
