Today was a magic day. Hirsch’s in Hillcrest visited iThemba place of hope for round two of an awesome delivery of books. I arrived and once again was overwhelmed with the happiest, fun-loving children throwing hugs at me.
The first thing that happened to me on arrival was been pulled to the brand new iThemba library to have a look at the shelves full of books that the Upper Highway community donated to the Hirsch’s book drive for iThemba place of hope.
I cannot express how grateful I am to the schools and community for their amazing kindness. Kloof High, which collected 1 000 books, as well as Hillcrest Primary, which collected 2 000 – you have played a massive role in the collection of these books! I would also like to extend my thanks to Shell service station in Hillcrest for making the children’s day by kindly donating treats for the children to go home with.
