From check-in to check-out HPH believes in delivering a hospital experience that is as comfortable, stress-free, caring and professional as possible.
Designed to complement and blend in with its natural, tranquil surroundings, the facility aims to deliver top-quality, convenient care in a modern, safe and fresh environment that emphasises both health and healing. From management through to staff, everyone is trained to go that extra mile, to deliver that special something that makes all the difference. Think hospitality staff, not just hospital staff – the new face of caring.
Comfort
The unique ward configuration – from en-suite semi-private and private, to premier executive suites – provides patients with an added level of luxury and convenience. All wards are equipped with modern electric beds, DStv, and lockable bedside units. A 200-bed capacity allows staff to give patients added attention, care and comfort.

Location matters
Hillcrest Private Hospital allows patients and visitors a world-class medical facility set in peaceful, tranquil surroundings as well as being easily accessible from the N3, M13, and central Hillcrest.
Good news for local residents making use of the M13 is the addition of traffic lights at the Kassier Road M13 interchange – to improve traffic flows and access within the vicinity – which to date has been a source of frustration for drivers.
Situated across from the Shongweni Farmers’ Market, access to the hospital from the Kassier Road Alverstone intersection will also be improved by means of added traffic lights and road widening, resulting in an effective entry and exit plan for visitors to the hospital. Work has already begun along Kassier Road and completion is expected toward the end of June 2011, before the opening of the hospital.
The stated vision of Hillcrest Private Hospital is one of providing quality health care and benefits to both its patients and the Hillcrest community. The newly built hospital remains on track to open in July 2011, offering a full range of medical and surgical specialities.

I think the new hospital will be fantastic and I’m very excited to see if it will live up to all the hype that’s been in the media!
I will only ever go to Westville Hospital, which is quite a distance to travel, so having a hospital on my doorstep will definitely save time if anything drastic should ever happen.
Dear Anonymous,
Please do come and visit our hospital. Come through the main door and ask the Conceirge to arrange a brief tour. You will be pleasantly surprised. it is a well equiped hospital but with a 5 star hotel feel. Also visit our website http://www.hillcresthospital.co.za which now contains actual pictures of the facility.

I live in Hillcrest and I was admitted to Hillcrest Private Hospital with pneumonia. Hillcrest Private Hospital was incredible! The service I received was amazing and I was treated like gold. I have never seen staff with such care, passion and enthusiasm! I had a member of management vist me every day to check if I was happy with the service I was receiving. The doctors were professional and caring. The food was great and we were greeted with a smile. The rooms were cleaned every two hours. I was blown away by the attitude of the staff and the treatment I got. It was so nice to be treated with care! Well done to the staff and management at Hillcrest Private Hospital, you are all doing a fantastic job.
