May 29, 2011. Hennie Steyn and Chantal Steyn of Inhle Orchids gave an entertaining and extremely informative talk and slide presentation on orchids at Destiny Life church at Seaward Estate on Saturday.
On display were a variety of orchids grown and imported by the Steyns, who discussed topics such as “The weird and wonderful” and “The miracle of pollination”, while also answering questions and dishing out advice on how to handle specific issues in growing and caring for orchids.
They discussed and displayed some of the fragrant, the smelly, the petite, the awkward and the delicate treasures in the orchid collection.
Extremely entertaining was the section on pollination, where all the clever tricks, mechanisms and techniques applied by these ingenious plants to trigger pollination were discussed.

It was a wonderful talk. The people of Inhle are very helpful and their orchids are beautiful.
Awesome!!! The Steyns have the most beautiful orchids I have ever seen!!! ….not to mention how charming and knowledgeable these people are!
