She famously sang the lyrics, “Tried to make me go to rehab but I sad, no, no, no,” but unfortunately the song has come back to haunt soul powerhouse Amy Winehouse as she checked into rehab this week to deal with a drinking problem.
Apparently her father Mitch, concerned that her drinking was getting out of hand, urged her to check into a clinic for an assessment. Meanwhile, it’s been reported that on her way to the facility, Winehouse quickly nipped into a bottle store to grab a miniature bottle of vodka. Oh well, she may have arrived at the clinic accompanied by a whiff of booze, but at least she’s made the first step and acknowledged that there may be a problem.
Some reaction from fans as reported by the MTV website: Some fans on Twitter reacted to the news of Amy Winehouse’s latest stint, and offered nothing but kind words for the beloved and troubled songstress.
Intervention
User Jubi The Great said, “I want Amy to get some help so she can put out some more music.” Fan Kisha Green added, “She needs to stay in rehab and confront those inner demons that are destroying her life. If she’s in rehab she needs to STAY there!”
And the support didn’t stop there. SweetCBeauty out of Chicago remarked, “I am glad that she’s not giving up on the fight against her addictions and is taking her health and career seriously.” User IsisTheBlogger offered, “She needs an intervention, a new crew that cares so she can reach her musical potential. Yet, I’m not surprised she’s going back. Example of the tortured talented.”
