Jennifer Kelly of uMhlanga Rocks visited Fay and Megan of Image Insured recently, and says it’s been a turning point in her life. “My family are excited that I am finally starting to look like a grown-up and random strangers are stopping me to compliment my look! “Jennifer is a ‘summer’ with cool skin tones and the golden blonde that she had put in her hair, as well as the warm undertoned colours that she loved to wear, made her look very pastey, tired and sallow,” said Fay. “We changed her hair colour to a cool honey blonde and dressed her in ‘summer’ pinks and blues. The difference is amazing.
“Colour is extremely powerful and the wrong colours can make you look washed out and tired. We also balanced her body with the correct style of clothing. A consult really is the price of a bad mistake!”
Grant Harper of Terry Scott Hairfashion pre-lightened Jennifer’s hair with Wella Blondor & Olaplex, which lifted it to a pale blonde. He used Illunina 10/1 & 10/69 to create cool blonde tones. Grant worked with a square layer and personalised the shape and texture to keep as much length as possible.
