According to Channel24, Mara Louw will not be a judge on Idols this year. Apparently, a replacement for Louw has already been identified.
The end of Louw’s association with Idols comes after relations between Louw and M-Net broke down in 2010 over certain comments she made about the show.
Louw raised eyebrows when she said Lloyd Cele, who came in second, should have won the 2010 competition (Idols VI). She said the competition is riddled with racism and that there would only be a black winner if M-Net were to sell the rights to the show to the SABC.

If anyone is being racist, it is her!
I don’t think Mara realises that a lot of WHITE people can’t afford DSTV, and most people who do have it, are in fact, black.
I’m white and I voted for L’loyd…
