Meet Bryan Maehler, CEO of Watches Unlimited. He’s been at the helm from day one when he and his brother opened the very first store at the Pavilion in Durban. He’s as passionate about watches as he is about fashion and trends, always has been, and still today, after 21 years, he hand picks each watch from the 30 or so international brands he stocks. Every year, he attends the Basl Watch Fair, the biggest watch and jewellery fair in the world. He says, from around the 3 500 or so exhibitors, “I look for the uniqueness in each brand, and it’s only those watches I bring back for Watches Unlimited. You often won’t find them anywhere else.”
