Pheka domestic cooking school celebrates 12 years of business this year! Pheka is all about fresh simple cooking with a slight unconventional twist. The focus is all about nutrition and healthy home cooked meals (with the odd decadent treat sneaking in!).
Uplift the skills of your domestic worker and enrol them into the course that most suits your staff and family needs. Pheka now offers four different courses. In each class you learn about four different dishes, so by the end of a course at least 20 new dishes have been taught to the students.
Pheka comes to you – classes are run in all areas in a homely setting from Umhlanga Rocks, La Lucia, Berea, Glenwood, Westville and inland to the Upper Highway area. Courses are five weeks long and are held once a week for a three-hour session in the morning. Or, if you prefer, private lessons can be arranged to suit your needs. The classes are small and intimate, with a fun, interactive and hands-on approach. Each student receives an apron, recipe file and a certificate on course completion – and they get to enjoy a tasty lunch each lesson.
“My heart has always been in the food industry – it has been a very fulfilling and enriching business, filled with passion, teaching and sharing my skills of the kitchen with so many students. The results are sure to put smiles on everyone’s faces, from my students to your children and to you, giving you a chance to step out of the kitchen a few days a week!” says Danielle du Toit, founder of pheka. “Allow me to improve the skills of your domestic worker and share with them the joy of cooking.”
