Simbithi Country Club was the venue for a golf day with a difference, where readers and advertisers of The Ridge magazine got to get a little taste of what The Ridge has to offer this festive season.
After a round of 18 holes at the immaculate Simbithi Country Club – won by the pairing of Fiona Crago and Tracey Taberer – the golfers retired to get an exclusive insight into the shooting of the cover for The Ridge’s year-end festive magazine.
Styled by food and lifestyle guru Erica Platter and Mount Edgecombe’s Shaz Milstead (who’s contributed to this shoot for years), the festive issue shoot offered up the usual mix of sensuous tastes, glamour and the Durban inspired colour palette of chilli red and banana leaf green.
Later that evening guests retired to the Country Club to enjoy an elegant dinner at The Ridge’s beautifully decorated festive table.
Fiona and Tracey each won a copy of Erica Platter’s hit book East Coast Tables. The Ridge thanked sponsors Wisteria Blooms, uShaka Marine World and Hotel 64 on Gordon for their assistance in making the golf day a great success.
