October 12, 2011. A YouTube sensation . . . a video filmed at Albert Falls Dam near the capital city, Pietermaritzburg, shows a large buck (I reckon the sucker must weigh at least 100kg) running across mountain biker Evan van der Spuy’s path and then slamming him into the ground.
Apparently Van der Spuy can’t remember much, other than he saw the buck and then woke up in an ambulance.
I liken this to having Springbok enforcer Bakkies Botha charging after you as you run down the wing, except you can’t see him, and then he smashes you into touch. Yeeeooowch! That buck must be on something . . . sign him up immediately Bok management. Maybe we should just call him “Bokkies”.
