Following a highly successful inaugural dinner in October last year, Food 4 Thought will hold its next Gourmet Food & Wine Tasting Evening on Wednesday 9 May at Remos in Mount Edgecombe.
Two of KZN’s most well-known and talented chefs, Jackie Cameron from Hartford House and Andrew Draper, chef patron of Harveys, will together be preparing a luxurious 5-course menu to delight the palate, paired with wines from some of South Africa’s leading producers. Tickets are sold in multiples of four at R695 per ticket.
Since it’s inception last year, the restaurant revenue generating project, Food 4 Thought, has been raising funds for the expansion and work of Umthombo, a Durban-based organisation that works with improving the lives and prospects of street children and all monies raised for the dinner go to Umthombo. In the last five months, R241 623.53 has been raised through the participation and generosity of Durban diners and restaurants.
