Hillcrest Private Hospital turns 1

Staff at Hillcrest Private Hospital proudly joined together to celebrate their first anniversary recently. Unit managers and management were on hand to acknowledge staff and assist in the celebrations.

Annette Olls, hospital manager, thanked staff for the part they have all played in delivering the high quality care and caring that their patients expect. “Patient care is not an individual act but a team effort and it is as a team that we have met the challenges that have come our way and, using the opportunities presented, have worked together to find ways to take the service we offer to the next level.”

Annette Olls also thanked the community for the overwhelming support that Hillcrest Private Hospital has received. “From the first day we opened, our patients and their families have been positive and encouraging, and we look forward to the years ahead and the opportunities we have to provide the community with world-class, patient-centric health care.”

There is an increasing demand for consulting suites by medical specialists across all specialities wishing to open practices at Hillcrest Private Hospital and to meet this need, the building of a new wing of consulting suites will commence shortly. Future planning also includes cardiology, oncology and renal facilities amongst other opportunities.

In keeping with its commitment to the community it serves, over the past year Hillcrest Private Hospital has also established relationships with various sectors of community – schools, youth empowerment groups, retirement complexes, local charity organisations and support groups – promoting health and healthy life styles.

Health days, seminars, school tours, workshops and other activities all provide an opportunity to educate and empower members of the public to make informed choices about their health and the health of their families.
