The Durban Society of Model Engines celebrates its 100th anniversary on 2 July 2013, making it the oldest model engineering club in South Africa.
In the photo: Tai Nuns and his granddad, Steve Mawer of Hillcrest, on Dolbadarn, a Hunslett replica of the narrow gauge engines used in the quarries in Wales.
The club is based in Durban North, near Virginia airport, and is open to the public on the second and fourth Sunday of every month.
