The Crescent will be hosting its annual doggie fun day, Pooch meets Play, on Saturday 20 July between 10am and 1pm.
Entertainment on the day will include: a Royal Canin Cat Show (taking place in the mall area outside Pick ‘n Pay), stilt walkers, balloon animals, face painting, magic shows, kids crafts, a Guide Dog Demo, a dog training demo by K9 Communications, a hot dog eating competition, and a Food and Craft Market.
There will be nine categories for dogs to be entered into. These are: Biggest Dog, Smallest Dog, Best Dressed, Best Trick, Dog/Owner Look-Alike, Carnival Pooch, Superhero Pooch, Most Pampered Pooch, and Best Bark.
The Food and Craft Market will continue until 3pm on the upper parking level at The Crescent.
Cost is R50 per dog per category, with all proceeds being donated to Feral Cat Rescue and Project Dog. The event is free for spectators.
